For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. 1 Corinthians 13:12
Apostle Paul tells us that Holy Spirit is like a mirror within our hearts that reflects the Glory of Christ Jesus both inward and outward. Now the mirrors in Paul's time were imperfect bronze mirrors which had to be frequently cleaned due to corrosion. So, looking into a bronze mirror you could see yourself but not see perfectly.
Women took off their veils to look at themselves in the bronze mirrors. At Christ's outpouring of the Holy Spirit at your Baptism the veil over your heart was removed and Holy Spirit is assisting you to see Christ Resurrected alive within you and in the world in other Christians.
Paul writes: And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the Glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same Image from one degree of Glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18
Holy Spirit assists us to become more like Christ Jesus, this by upward degrees. We are being transformed to be better and better; and as my father used to say, "Better than we have to be." Daily we choose to put into action the teachings of Jesus, in this way we move from Glory to Glory until that day when we behold Christ Jesus face to face.
