Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight?
Those who walk during the day do not stumble, because they see the Light of this world. John 11:9
Jesus is using Light emphases-- His instructions illuminate our thoughts and emotions.
When Jesus walked this good earth He had a family of close friends in Mary, Martha, and Lazarus. Often He would stay at their home and enjoy, laugh, relax. Lazarus dies and his sisters send notice for Jesus to come, Before He sets off He tells the disciples, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to awaken him," signaling not only a new perspective of death's mystery solved for us by Jesus but also that Jesus awakens us from all kinds of sleeping.
He says, "Our friend Lazarus..." And Jesus calls you friend too. He knows your souls' desires and at times these are awakened by Him. These are lit up because of His love for us!
Our Resurrected Jesus directs the Holy Spirit lighted way clearly so we may see how we may love others the best that we possibly can love them. Loving is really living! Caring for each other takes time and effort yet without Jesus' light of love our attempts at it may fall flat. "Awaken," He says!
For when there are circumstances in our lives that may dim our living we can falter. He is the only One who causes us to thrive. Listening to Him through Scripture and listening to Him softly speaking within your soul is grand. Latch your heart onto zestful living with Him. He restores and transforms you. Thrive, simply because He miraculously makes it so.
Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Those who walk during the day do not stumble, because they see the light of this world. But those who walk at night stumble, because the light is not in them.” After saying this, he told them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to awaken him.” John 11:9-11
