In kindergarten we planted on Friday and the teacher asked us to put our seed containters in the closet because the custodian came on Saturday morning and a Church used the kindergarten room on Sunday.
That next week I missed kindergarten because my family had the flu. When I returned to school I found my plant was still in the back of the closet! Yet, in the darkness it had started to grow but was dull colored and drab. I had no hope for that plant's revival. As teacher put it on the windowsill I saw that other's plants were flourishing and beautiful. The next day mine perked up.
It took three days for my plant to revive and it outgrew the others! Biblical!
Light causes us to flourish too-- Jesus' Light. Matthew quotes Isaiah 9:2: ...the people who sat in darkness have seen a Great Light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” Matthew 4:16 When covid caused one of our Church folks to be confined in her retirement home small room, Lolita called me and said, "Send me your video sermons by text PLEASE, send a bunch of them. I've got to have more Jesus right now to pull me out of this isolation!"
Jesus' Light lifts us from dull and drab. Have we ever needed Jesus more than now? Seek Him and you find Him. Follow Him closely. He is the leader, giver, healer. He generously gives faith's energizing Holy Spirit revival! And where His Good News of God's Kingdom is proclaimed He is curing every disease and every sickness among the people.

Look at Matthew 4:12-23 and note that first, Jesus' Light has come to us to reveal God's Love and compassion. Secondly, we are called to work with Jesus in companionship. And third, Jesus restores us to health and spiritual wholeness; He heals.
