The seventeen, thirteen missionaries and four children, have been kidnapped by persecutors called 400 Mawozo. These dear Christians are on our hearts constantly as we pray. Tomorrow, October 21st, their home organization (Christian Aid Ministries out of Ohio, USA) asks us to have a day of fasting and prayer for their release from their captors.
Christian Aid Ministries is asking us to join theim in praying for:
The victims—for endurance, faithfulness, and a spirit of Christlike love. Pray for their release and that they could follow the example of Jesus who said of His enemies, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34).
The kidnappers—that they would experience the love of Jesus and turn to Him.
Government leaders and authorities—as they relate to the case and work toward the release of the victims.
Jesus said, "Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. I will do whatever you ask in My Name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in My Name you ask Me for anything, I will do it." John 14:12-14
Let us pray together for the missionaries and their children In Jesus' Name. And may His Name be glorified as we use the Power of the Holy Spirit to serve God in this manner.
