God's Love In Action

God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness on the day of judgment, because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love. 1 John 4:16-17

To agree that when we are in the Presence of God, we know God as love, is an ancient and present Church truth. This truth is a motivating reason we gather to Worship God on Sunday, the sacred Sabbath, as God's love links our hearts to each other and allows us to abide together in our Heavenly Father's Presence. In His Presence each day our words and creativity are of God's love.

God sends His message of Love through a "Will you marry me?' and "I love you dearly," also "I miss you already," as parting words. This morning while hearing John Field's Suite, 1 Polka, the notes sounded like the composer expressed how God's love plays within my heart. God's love is also within a good laugh bursting out when there is clean humor which turns the tenderness of His love into joy.

Yet all in all, Jesus' Cross is the best visual we have of God's love, as second place would a His sacred heart, in that both project that we are saved and sealed in Heavenly Father's love through our Savior and Lord. For God's love is grounded on loving forgiveness expressed to us in Jesus' Cross. Jesus aids us in crossing into the Presence of God without fear of rejection or dismissal. God is love and His Son Jesus Christ is God's love in action.
