Our Lord says, "So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Thus, this means that we do not have to plead with God over and over. We do not have to worry about the outcome of our prayer as to the blessings from it are within the will of God. And when we are attentive to the Holy Spirit's whispering hope within, Holy Spirit will give us an image of our prayer answered.
Christians have the great commonality to both visualize and anticipate the positive outcome of their prayers. When you quiet yourself and place yourself within prayerful receivership Holy Spirit will give you a image. You see prayer outcome in your mind's eye or as a dream that you remember vividly and cannot forget!
Lew Miller was damaged during WWII and found himself repeatedly pleading to Jesus for healing and physical recovery, then he exhaused himself. During his desparate debasement our Lord slowly gave Lew images from his youth-- of a spelling competition where he visualized the answers then spoke them, of basket ball games where Lew saw the ball going into the hoop long before he got two point baskets six times in a row. Lew recognized our Lord spoke to him in this manner. During this quiet, Lew then saw new images of his body recovered and whole again. Doctors who said Lew would never recover had to eat those words as over years time our Lord brought Lew into health.
The second thing our Lord says about prayer is a tough one for some. Our Lord Jesus says, “Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father in Heaven may also forgive you your trespasses." (Mark 11:25) He is clear. Make your prayer request to Him, clear your heart and mind of hate with forgiveness. Praise and thank Him that Holy Spirit enabled you to forgive.
Jesus' teaching on prayer is fabulous! Use it; discover blessings to share so others may know these too.
