A Dean of an Eastern University took it upon himself to calculate the percentage of student cheaters in his Professor’s tests. The study was quite an undertaking, and the results revealed that between 40-60% of students cheated. Notably, the percentage fluctuated in response to test monitoring.
Three main reasons, or categories, were given for summation: 1.) Cheating was done to outsmart the Professors; 2.) To please Parents grade wise; 3.) To get practice so that they will be able to exist successfully in a highly competitive society.
For the Professors, one thing became exceedingly clear to them—we have never been able to maintain a high quality of moral and ethical living without the spiritual sense of obligation to our Maker. So also, when people are spiritually determined to live up to the beautiful image of Christ through our imitation of Him, and the inner transformation given to us through His New Birth, the bar for moral and ethical living is set higher.
Vigilant high achievement, certainly gained without cheating, keeps your heart flowing with energizing zeal and a higher quality of life.
