Be easy on people-- thoughtful, kind, and sensitive. A man came into the grocery to pick up some items and get some headache medicine. The folks who worked at the grocery said hello and he did not respond. As he paid for his groceries he had a scowl on his face. Then the young guy bagging his groceries told him that he wanted to carry them to his car.
He nodded his head and the young guy followed him quietly. After putting the groceries in the back of the car he turned to the man and said, "God bless you sir, and I love you sir." The man was startled and smiled a bit. The young guy went quickly back into the grocery to resume bagging.
When the man returned home his daughter rang the doorbell and came in, got her Dad a glass of water then put away the groceries. "How are you now, Dad?" she asked, looking into his eyes. "A young Christian blessed me at the grocery store and told me he loved me. I've seen him working hard and helping people. I've been truly blessed today and that's a fact."
People need to hear that they are blessed and loved and when we show it they know it.
Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.” Luke 2:38
