At The Close Of This Day

Little children, you are from God and have conquered them, for the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

Little children are creative and at times so are we! Poet Brian Bilston, a.k.a. Paul Millicheap from Oxford, in his poem 'And Now For The Weather,' writes:

'Today is set to be agreeably alternative,

Across an assortment of areas

Although the occasional metaphor

May cause some faces to cloud.'

My face clouded not at the weather but at the news just now. At the Mall Of America God's children, and mine, fled the Mall due to potential harm from a Mall crazy person. All are safe, Praise God. At the close of this day you may think that you may not have accomplish everything that you wanted to get done today; you may have chosen to push aside you own needs to assist a child or an older adult, or you may be glad this day is almost done. One thing is sure. You're alive in Christ. Jesus is proud of you for loving, giving, forgiving, and sharing like Him. He loves the faith that you have in Him.

We are God's children under salvation's blessings of Christ within us. Together we are more than conquerors over the evil one who is in the world for this is Christ's world, His Kingdom within us, and He is the Mighty Force of love and mercy. We may not see ourselves as little children under His tutelage but we are such. For it is with child like faith we live in Him.
